A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account & Registration Data: Name, phone number, email address, password, and farm name when you register as a Farm Owner (Admin) or field worker.
- Farm & Apiary Records: Beehive box numbers, inspection entries (queen bee status, brood frame counts, honey yield, disease observations), and inspection notes.
B. Device Permissions & Automatically Collected Data
- Location Data (Approximate and Precise GPS): With your permission, the app accesses device GPS coordinates during hive inspections to record the geographic location of each beehive box. This helps beekeepers track and locate boxes across apiary fields. Location collection is strictly optional, used only for app functionality, and is not shared with advertising networks or third parties.
- Camera Permission: Used to scan physical QR code labels affixed to beehive boxes for instant identification, and optionally to capture hive inspection photos (such as live queen bee or frame status) for your farm records. We do not access your camera in the background or store continuous video feeds.
- Push Notifications: Used to deliver routine inspection reminders, queen lifecycle alerts, and important security notifications.
- Device & Diagnostics Data: Device model, OS version, app version, network connectivity status (for offline synchronization), and crash diagnostics to ensure app stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to:
- Provide, maintain, and optimize the মৌ খামার (Mou Khamar) app and beehive tracking system.
- Enable QR code identification and automated hive health scoring (Good, Warning, Critical).
- Tag and display geographical coordinates of beehive boxes in your apiary.
- Synchronize your offline inspection entries safely to the cloud once connected.
- Facilitate farm management collaboration between farm owners, co-partners, and field inspectors.
- Send critical security and account status notifications.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or farm data to third parties.
Data is only accessible to:
- Your Farm Members: Field workers and co-partners authorized by your farm owner can view and record entries within your farm scope.
- Service Providers: Secure cloud hosting, database infrastructure, and SMS/push notification delivery partners who adhere to strict confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulations.
4. Data Security & Storage
All communications between the mobile application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are encrypted using salted one-way hashing algorithms. Your data is stored on secure servers with automated daily backups.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You may request account deletion at any time directly within the app or by visiting our Account Deletion Disclosure Page.
- Field Workers: Account profile is purged immediately; inspection entries stay linked to the farm.
- Farm Owners: Deletion enters a 14-day safety grace period. After 14 days, all associated beehives, workers, and checklist records are permanently purged.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app is designed for agricultural and apiary management and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove such information.
